Rare Earth Magnet manufacutruer
Rare earth magnet mainly includes Neodymium magnets and SmCo. Neodymium magnets have a higher Maximum Energy Product, (BH)max than SmCo magnets. (BH) max of Neodymium magnets can easily reach 30 MGOe and even goes up to 50 MGOe. Neodymium magnets can replace SmCo magnets in most cases, especially where operating temperature is less than 180 degrees Centigrade. The temperature stability of Neodymium magnets is not as good as SmCo magnets. Magnetic performance of Neodymium magnets will deteriorate rapidly above about 180 degrees Centigrade. Compared to SmCo magnets, the corrosion and oxidation resistance of Neodymium magnets is relatively low.
The total usage of permanent rare-earth magnet NdFeB of the world in 1990 is 2500 MT, 4000 MT in 1992, 7000MT in 1997 and the annual consumption of permanent rare-earth magnet NdFeB will reach 10,000MT in the year 2000 according to forecast. The metal Nd Nd (neodymium) is the main material for producing NdFeB (accounted for about 35%). There are hundreds of factories producing NdFeB in China presently and the annual prosuction capacity of NdFeB of 1998 has reached 4000 MT. Calculating according, the demand for Nd and Nd alloy of the world will reach 3500 MT by the year 2000.
